Jesmac has a highly focused, proactive safety culture within all aspects of the company operations. All field workers are OSHA 10 certified and supervisors are OSHA 30 certified.
Mandatory weekly Tool Box Safety Meetings are conducted on each project job-site along with independent third party inspections to oversee safety compliance. Jesmac has historically maintained an impressive safety Experience Modification Factor of 0.70 with minimal loss time accidents.
Jesmac employs a unique in-house training process called the “3S Training Program”. This program integrates Skill, Safety and Standardization for the various construction activities we perform in the field. In doing so, our workers obtain a threshold of knowledge and skill that are specific to the task while maintaining a consistency that is interchangeable from job to job. Our goal is to train our employees to work smart, safe and efficient with quality results.
Jesmac is also an approved sponsor for a RI State Certified Apprenticeship Program which provides formal classroom and field training for new hires and entry level employees. This program provides a regimented curriculum provided by professional vocational instructors to accelerate individual mastery for various construction trade disciplines.
We believe the baseline knowledge obtained from these programs combined with assigned mentoring relationships between new and experienced employees are vital to meet the high expectation of our clients.
